BandHQ Plus

Run the band,
not the admin.

The app is free for every player and stays that way. Plus is the layer for the secretary, the MD and the committee: the evenings of admin, done in the app rather than at the kitchen table. One price for the whole band, however many players.

The Band practice screen in BandHQ. One of 24 players practising; 23 have gone quiet, 22 are behind a target, one target due this week, with a Nudge all button beside each line.
A Tuesday, before rehearsal: who has gone quiet, who is behind, and one nudge for all of them.
The secretary

The paperwork, with a date on it.

Renewals that fall due a year apart: insurance, the confirmation statement, the AGM, contest entries. Meetings with an agenda, minutes taken against it, and actions with a name on each. When you stand down, the next secretary inherits a pack rather than a carrier bag.

  • A renewals board with an owner and a date on every obligation.
  • An agenda that builds itself from open actions and what falls due, minuted item by item.
  • The trustee list, the AGM and trustee deadlines from your constitution, and a printable handover pack.
The Renewals board: the charity annual return, Companies House accounts, the confirmation statement, the AGM, insurance renewal and contest entries, each with a date, an owner and a Mark done button.
The renewals board: nineteen obligations a band like this carries, each with a date and an owner.
The MD

Where the band is, on the music itself.

Set the work down to the bar. Every player says how they are getting on with it, and you see the answers by section, never by name. Who has gone quiet and who is behind a target are the first things on the screen, with one nudge for all of them.

  • Rehearsal passages: letter B to E, up to tempo, for the band, a section or one player.
  • Where the band is: every section against the piece, counts only.
  • Attendance and section health over time, from the registers you already take.
The band on the night

A name on every chair.

Build the running order once and print it for the stand, the audience and the compère. Draw the stage plan, put a name on every chair, and see the empty ones before the day. Each player opens their phone and finds their part and where they sit.

  • Programmes with a running time, call times and what to bring.
  • Stage plans drawn once and reused for every concert and contest.
  • The crew sheet prints on one page.
A concert stage plan in BandHQ: every chair of the band drawn in an arc in front of the MD, viewed from the podium, with the controls to drag, bend a row and add a chair.
The stage plan, viewed from the podium. Drag a chair; bend a row.
And the players feel it

Their part, their chair, in their pocket.

The practice tracker every player already has stays free. Plus adds the passage the MD set, the running order with their own part on it, and the chair with their name on it, in the app they already open.

The BandHQ app on an iPhone: You are on 2nd Cornet 2, back row, your chair highlighted on the stage plan, and the list of who is where.
The BandHQ app on an iPhone: the Autumn Concert programme, what to bring, your part, and the first half with a time against each piece.
Free, for every band

Plus adds. It takes nothing away.

The roster, events and availability, dep requests, the attendance register, chat and news, practice tracking with goals and band challenges, and every safeguarding control. Nothing that is free today becomes paid. The players never pay.

How a band gets Plus

An admin signs in on the web, opens the band’s Billing page and chooses annual or monthly. The price is shown there, including VAT. The whole band has Plus the same day, and the players pay nothing. Plus is never bought inside the apps.

The first 25 bands to subscribe pay half price for as long as they stay subscribed, on either billing period. Open until 23:59 UK time, Friday 30 October 2026. The founding offer

Still being built

Two things are still being built and are not part of what you buy today: a safeguarding officer’s DBS register, which waits on its legal review, and a handbook and policies hub this season. The roadmap says where each one stands.

What a treasurer will ask

One price per band, annual or monthly, shown including VAT at checkout. A 14-day full refund. The small print is in the founding terms.

Give the committee its evenings back.

Turn Plus on from the band’s Billing page on the web. The whole band has it the same day.
